Tapes n' Tapes

For the cool kids in the know, tapes 'n tapes have been around since 2003/2004. For the rest of the world they're some well good new indie-rock band soaring through the most-listened-to tracks on auddioscrobbler.

They're from Minnesota.
They've played with some good-un's! pour examplé... echo and the bunnyman, spoon, the futureheads, i am the world trade centre and the streets. I think they've played with love is all and ghostface killah as well.... but possibly i am lying.

They're a little bit woo, a little bit whoa, a little "out there" on occassion "I've been a better lover with your mother," [ other times they're bluesy-ish]. In other words they're perfectly mimicing the trend at the moment for "out-there", geek-chic pop which in turn leads to them oozing an approachable, non-pretentious air like their predesecors and obvious key influence- pavement. Is it just me or do american bands do this so perfectly?! To name a few- the blood arm, you say party! we say die, tokyo police club... are just the most precious musical specimens i have ever come across in a live bands.

The re-released edition of their LP "the loon" was recorded in two weeks and is is pretty easy listening... not that i've officially listened to it- Just fifteen illegally downloaded tracks which i hear are on there.

They're cute.
